As a working-class, single mom, Millicent knows better than most that it takes a village. She also has first-hand experience with the many obstacles families face in trying to engage in their children’s educations. With experience in PTA at both the school and state level, Millicent knows what it means to foster parent engagement and is working to expand this work on the board.
